This week has been tough for a lot of people. Mine started out with some personal struggles, then there was a terrorist attack in Vienna that made the fear that so many feel in this world very present, another lockdown began and most of my gigs evaporated with it, and, all the while, this Presidential election and the prospect of more violence where I’m from cast a shadow over my thoughts and feelings. It felt like tunnels coming at the end of the tunnel. I know that many of you can relate in your own ways to that feeling. To those of you who do, I hope you know that you’re not alone. For those of you who helped me get out of the dark a little this week, I want to say “thank you”. I’m going to release a song soon called “Be Thankful”. Though I wrote it awhile back, I will always think of this time and you lovely people who were there for me.
As you can guess, I’m very thankful to know that we will soon be rid of one of the many leaders who stand in the way of peace among the people of the world and progress towards a more just society. Let’s celebrate this victory and continue the march.
